Cannot login to Outlook due to error "Something went wrong.."

Original title: Outlook LIVE (outlook.com) "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later".

I have a custom domain running Outlook LIVE through outlook.com.  I've had an old passport account which has been with me for a long time but didn't used to have email associated with it.  I recently updated it to have email enabled, but I'm not able to login to outlook live with that account.

How can I get around the "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later" error, or determine what the problem is?  I waited about a month but I'm still having the same problem.  I would really like to get email onto this account since it's the account I have all of my other things (xbox, phone, win8) pointed to.

Thanks

Junior, I recently had the same problem for about a week after an update to Firefox. (OS is Win XP).

In Firefox: Help, Troubleshooting Info. On page that comes up, there is a button to "Refresh Firefox."

That worked for me. Of course you'll have to re-set all your browser settings.

Windows 7 Go to control panel, Click on Security Tab, click on trusted sites-

Delete any email site   ie:  mail.live.com/ login.live.com / blu173.mail.live.com. I suffered with this for a long time. Hope you have some luck

    Michelle
