Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
I'm having this same problem. Any UPDATE? Anyone out there?

Original title: Outlook LIVE (outlook.com) "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later".
I have a custom domain running Outlook LIVE through outlook.com. I've had an old passport account which has been with me for a long time but didn't used to have email associated with it. I recently updated it to have email enabled, but I'm not able to login to outlook live with that account.
How can I get around the "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later" error, or determine what the problem is? I waited about a month but I'm still having the same problem. I would really like to get email onto this account since it's the account I have all of my other things (xbox, phone, win8) pointed to.
Thanks

I'm having this same problem. Any UPDATE? Anyone out there?
Hey,
I tried again and after a bunch of page reloads (or navigations) while it tried to sign-in, I ended up on the same Outlook Live page with the "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later" error message.
Looks like it's not working. Can someone take a look at the account and help see what the problem might be?
Thanks
Hi,
Does the same error message appears when you accessed your account using another computer and browser? This is to help us identify and isolate if the issue lies on your account itself.
In addition to that, if you previously added the Microsoft websites to trusted sites on your browser, kindly remove it and see if this will help.
I also encourage you to change the settings on your account to use HTTPS. There are two ways on how to do it.
a. To change the settings to use HTTPS, please refer to these steps:
Note – You may be asked to retype your password to activate HTTPS.
-Or-
After logging into Hotmail and navigating to your Inbox, change the URL in the address bar of your browser to https://. You should only need to add the ‘s’ onto the http and leave the rest of the URL as is. Press Enter to follow the updated URL.
Lastly, please try clearing your browser's cache and temporary internet files to exclude the idea that it's not a browser issue as there are some cases that it happens due to a corrupted file in the browser.

Thanks!
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried these steps (saw them on another thread) but they don't seem to help me. I've noticed that I can't access mail using outlook.com, or hotmail.com it ends up in the same error.
For a long time I was getting a syncing error on my Windows Phone for the account as well. But, within the past week I don't have an error on my phone for mail, and it started syncing the account as a hotmail account. It's able to send mail under the account, but not able to receive it. I suspect the account is in a weird state where different systems think it's in a different state.
Is it possible to have someone look at the account?
Thanks
Me too - and this has been going on for awhile.
