I want to change the default page after signing out from Outlook.com

In August 2013 I asked a question on this community about how to change the default page after signing out of Outlook.com.  Since opening my email address in July, every time when I sign out it goes to MSN.co.uk - a page I do not want.  I want this go to MSN.co.nz, for my country.  I have looked for settings to change this - but nothing is available on the outlook.com settings. And yes - before anyone asks me - my details all CLEARLY state New Zealand as my country on my profile. I have checked this multiple upon multiple times.

I have asked for solutions but no luck so far. In replies from the Microsoft Community, various suggestions have been provided and webpages to contact - which I have done.  But those websites either tell me to check my country details (doh!...as if I am that stupid), don't reply or send me to other webpage - which simply repeats the previous responses.

We can land space vehicles on Mars, do complex brain surgery, find the Higgs Boson, see distant stars and planets...yet no one can provide a simple solution to this??  I may not be a computer genius, but seriously, come on...solving this can't really be this hard.

Can anyone shed some specific and direct solutions to this?

    Hi Evan,

    I have three outlook accounts (personal and business) plus an old hotmail account.  Two of them seem to be working okay but the other two are not - yet have the same personal details (i.e. country is New Zealand).  Kind of weird all this and the best I can say is that is very temperamental and can change on a whim.  I am simply not sure what the method Microsoft uses and why it has to be so complicated.  Surely, the default page is the country listed (or USA, if no country page).

    For me, I compare to Yahoo.  My business partner has a personal Yahoo account and that ALWAYS defaults back to the NZ page - no matter which country we visit.  I am jealous! If Yahoo can get this right, then surely Mircosoft can as well.  I am visiting NZ later in the year and plan to raise this directly with the Microsoft NZ CEO.  I'm sure s/he will be concerned that this is happening.

    Hi Murray.

    I have 2 accounts and since the 30th of September they both started working again. Its awhole new look MSM outlook home page, both in my city with all the local news and weather and heaps more. It's much improved over the NINEMSN home page I used to go to. I spoke to my siter who uses Yahoo and she said it sounds similar to the Yahoo home page.

    You were the first to start this thread but I did not have issues until July, Do you think that they were doing a whole lot of work on the site and this started to cause issues? If so you would thing that they would have notified people that they may experience some problems for a month or so.

    As I said mine is working well, the new page is a really good look, much better that my old one.

    Have you found that you have a new look page? The first time it happened for me it had a big welcome to the NEW MSN home page, it also gave a pop box down the lower corner to give feedback.

    I am doing a project in Mexico, and until today November 18th, I was always directed to msn in the US. However, starting today, I am directed to msn Mexico, and even when I try to type msn.com, I am directed to msn Mexico. I have not figured out how to even access the US page. I see no option on the site to send me to the msn US page. So, f---, i just leave msn and read the news of my home country in other pages. Yet, another bad decision by Microsoft: give users what Microsoft things they should get instead of what the users really need. Continue like this Microsoft and soon you will be irrelevant as more and more users switch to other more intelligent services like Google. Even Yahoo allows their users to chose their country page when they travel.

    I am still having problems - redirecting to the homepage of the country I am working in (well the home country of the ISP, actually).

    This happens irrespective of the county I have listed on my profile or where the profile was created.  It is cleary a rule that Microsoft (aka Mickey Soft) applies.  It is arrogant and niave of a travelling population. Yahoo can get this right - why can't they? (Oh, silly me, they don't WANT to...that is why).
