How do i prevent the outlook logout from redirecting to msn?

At some point signing out of Outlook started redirecting to MSN. This is really frustrating - especially when accidently clicking anywhere on the screen that is NOT the login field causes the login form to disappear.

How do I disable this redirect? I would like to see the outlook login page when I sign out - not the MSN news page.

    I completely agree.   MSN.com is little more than a Hollywood tabloid site.  Someone in the Marketing Dept at MSFT (who should have been fired when Steve Ballmer resigned) apparently has enough pull to keep this site alive and even expand it's presence..

    They claim MSN.com gets 400 million unique users per day..  I contend that if it weren't for the Outlook.com users logging out (about 400 million of them per day)  AND the default home page set to MSN.com on new PC's ..  MSN.com would be a ghost town..   No one goes there on their own free will... ever.

    No one wants to see this Hollywood filth..  There are better sites for this shallow-minded content anyway. What surprises me so much as why MSFT even wants to attach it's name to it.  It's embarrassing for them, or it should be.

    I would pay money for software that would help me block MSN.com permanently using IE..   I abhor msn.com.   If it takes Firefox, Chrome, or Opera to stop this marketing filth then so be it.  IE will suffer more market share loss.

    im using firefox and heres how i did it

    1. download greasemonkey plugin (tools, extensions, search and install)
    2. get script to stop msn re-direct from greasyfork website (find it once you install greasemonkey)
    3. install script

    the script is pretty intuitive and once installed you can to to script settings and set any destination page you want. the default simply puts you back to the hotmail login page. i set mine so it goes to google.

    i was frustrated like many,,, and i hate the mumbo jumbo, platitudes and run around im seeing so i hope this helps.

    Hi Leilani and kurt As a community we have a voice and its very clear to me that we are all shouting loudly to microsoft but there not literning to us .....M.S we HATE what you did to hotmail we Hate what you did to Msn and frankly if you dont do something fast to Appease us im walking!!!!!!! and recommending others do it too.
