How do i prevent the outlook logout from redirecting to msn?

At some point signing out of Outlook started redirecting to MSN. This is really frustrating - especially when accidently clicking anywhere on the screen that is NOT the login field causes the login form to disappear.

How do I disable this redirect? I would like to see the outlook login page when I sign out - not the MSN news page.

    If you use Firefox as your browser, and you are familiar with the free add-in called Greasemonkey (which is used to run scripts in Firefox), then there is a simple script that you can use to redirect to any site you choose (such as the Outlook sign-in site) when signing out of Outlook.

    If you want the script, then post here in this thread and I will provide the script.

    This was problematic to me too. The work around I discovered was to, instead of signing out of Outlook mail, clear my browser data. After clearing your browser data, sign in to another Outlook account, continue  to surf the net, or closeout your browser.

    This just exemplifies how irresponsible Microsoft is with their products.  Obviously, MSN has found an in road to force their Socialist rhetoric down the throats of anyone using the internet.  Thank you George Soros.  He probably paid off Microsoft to get the vast majority (read ALL) of the redirects.

    I hadn't thought of this angle..  Sounds somewhat reasonable considering the flakes that inhabit the northwest corner of the contiguous USA. 

    More likely though MSN is somenone's pet project and somehow keeps it alive while MSFT abandons almost every other consumer product or service they've ever conned people into investing in.. I don't get it. MSN is such a piece of garbage. 

    Easiest way is to put a toolbar button to Bing on your browser and click that when you want to sign out, then sign out of Bing..

    heres the fix

    1. load the "greasemonkey" plugin - its available for firefox and chrome - google it
    2. load the script for the plugin - "no msn on hotmail signout" - found at greasyfork.org - google it

    this will nix the re-direct to msn website when you log out and simply leave you at your sign on page
