How do i prevent the outlook logout from redirecting to msn?

At some point signing out of Outlook started redirecting to MSN. This is really frustrating - especially when accidently clicking anywhere on the screen that is NOT the login field causes the login form to disappear.

How do I disable this redirect? I would like to see the outlook login page when I sign out - not the MSN news page.

    I guess there is no one out there that has  a solution for this "redirecting from outlook mail  to MSN News home page.

    I have tried with the following scenarios:

    • Login via Outlook.com on Firefox/Chrome on Windows 7; Signout takes me to msn.com.
    • Login via Hotmail.com on Firefox/Chrome on Windows 7; Signout takes me to msn.com.
    • Login via Login.live.com on Firefox/Chrome on Windows 7, click on View Inbox, click Signout in Outlook; Signout takes me to msn.com.
    • Login via Hotmail/Outlook.com on Firefox/Chrome on Windows 7, open Account Settings, close Outlook tab; Signout in Account Settings takes me to https://account.microsoft.com/about.

    That last one is the only way that I've found to avoid the msn page. This is very disappointing and I will not be recommending Outlook as an email service to anyone until this is rectified.

    I recommend that everyone who has an issue with this leave feedback from inside Outlook. This is available from the settings "gear" icon in the top right of the page.

    If you use Bing as your homepage, or any other Microsoft site that uses your Microsoft Account credentials, you can simply click the Home button on your browser, then logout from there.

    You can do this with your own redirecting rule. If you use firefox this addon works https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/redirector/ . I just made a rule that redirected me to the login.live.com home page when www.msn.com came up. I hope this helps.
