How do i prevent the outlook logout from redirecting to msn?

outlook.com redirects to login.live.com, so that's the login page I use.

My browser's home page is google.com. Why is that relevant?

Wow, these peopleare just beating around the bush, they know exactly what you are asking for but I'm sure they are not allowed to tell you how.

A more respectful approach of an answer from them would something in the lines of: "That's a default behavior, you can't change it by using any option in Outlook or MSN, we can't recommend you one solution because of our policies. You will probably have to rely in third party software to achieve what you want".

My answer is:

This is somewhat advanced stuff but I suggest you use third party software, something like some local DNS proxy that allows you to use wildcards, so you can do something like "127.0.0.1     *.msn.com" (the IP can be for any website you want, like your homepage). You can look for some host file "enhancer" that also allows you to use wildcards. The problem with the previous methods is that the IP may change, so you could look for software that lets you redirect to an URL like outlook.com

You can also look for an add-on like a redirector for your browser, or there may be something made specifically for your issue.

I'm not giving you any specific program hoping not getting my answer deleted.

The reason that they do this is that they make money with publicity, that's the reason why they don't allow us to change this

Ok, It looks like it's allowed to give you some software recommendations, I'm giving you guys the easiest fix, a browser redirector.

For Firefox look for the add-on called redirector, open the add-on options and click "New redirect" then you can enter a description, in "Example URL" type "http://www.msn.com/*" then in "Include pattern" type "http://www.msn.com/*", then in "Redirect to" type "https://signout.live.com/content/dam/imp/surfaces/mail_signout/v7/mail/en-us.html" (or any other url you want), check the "wildcard" checkbox and the "Enabled" checkbox.

You have to repeat the steps for every url you get redirected to, for example "http://www.bing.*"

That will make your browser redirect to the signout form (or any url you want). But you wont be able to visit that url unless you disable the redirector entry.

I haven't tried this one too much but for Chrome you can download the Switcheroo Redirectoradd-on. With this add-on you can redirect from  http://www.msn.com/ to https://signout.live.com/content/dam/imp/surfaces/mail\_signout/v7/mail/en-us.html or any url you want.

This just exemplifies how irresponsible Microsoft is with their products.  Obviously, MSN has found an in road to force their Socialist rhetoric down the throats of anyone using the internet.  Thank you George Soros.  He probably paid off Microsoft to get the vast majority (read ALL) of the redirects.
