You are receiving the error: ***“******You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com”*because of the following reasons:

  1. Your Microsoft account was registered or still registered in Office 365.
  2. Your Microsoft account ends with .edudomain extension name and is being managed by your University domain administrator.

Please follow the instructions below to prevent receiving the error message when accessing your account.

  1. Make sure that you are using a different browser or try InPrivate Browsing (IE) / Incognito mode (Chrome) as this will keep your sessions separate and at least allow different sessions per window. You can visit this link for additional reference.
  2. Try to log into http://*mail.**office365**.com*

If your Microsoft account was registered or still registered in Office 365:

  1. Make sure that you're signed out from any Microsoft services.
  2. Optimize your browser by clearing its cache and cookies. You may follow the instructions in this **link** on how to do it.
  3. Then, sign into your account through this link: https://login.microsoftonline.com/  . You should not encounter the error message again.

If your Microsoft account ends with .edu domain extension name and is being managed by your University domain administrator:

  1. Make sure that you're signed out from any Microsoft services.
  2. Optimize your browser by clearing its cache and cookies. You may follow the instructions in this **link** on how to do it.
  3. Sign in to your account through http://www.outlook.com/\[yourdomainextensionname\] Example: Your email address ******@sample.edu. You should sign in throughhttp://www.outlook.com/sample.edu
  4. Please try to contact your University domain administrator and check for possible issues.

Thanks!

I'm having this problem with my university email account. I use a mac though - and when I follow the steps in the link I get the following terminal message:

tcpdump: WARNING: en0: no IPv4 address assigned

    tcpdump: illegal token: –

I'm also confused about the following steps:

    1. Click Back on the Terminal window.
    2. Press Control+C.

I'm not sure what exactly 'Back' is and ctr + c simply starts a new line (is it meant to be command?)

I'd appreciate your help - I really, really need to get into my uni account.
