I reported two phishing scams to Outlook by clicking on the drop down "report phishing scam" in the Outlook mail app. Where does the phish e-mail go and is it reported to the genuine company, in this case a bank? Also, why can't a suspicious e-mail be forwarded to a reporting agency without opening it and exposing my computer and possibly my contact list to the bad guys?

You didn't answer the question. In the past 2 months, I started getting 40 and 50 filthy emails a day. I have blocked them that don't have me as the sender, and still get them. You people don't do anything about blocked emails or phishing scam emails.
@VannnieIVX - doesn't work at all for me. Not only do I keep getting spam from the same domains (perfectate.com, willaidea.com, validcove.com, versusfood.net, compasfood.com, and the various other domains that Microsoft allows through despite my having blocked them numerous times), within minutes of my reporting a phishing scam, I receive more from the same source.
I'm getting more now than ever before...
I marked all my obvious spam and phishing mail as 'phishing' all through August and from 1 September I noticed that my mail was free of it all....for about 3 or so weeks. Now it's starting to return. So something positive did happen, at least for a while. I'm continuing to mark my spam as 'phishing' to see if the same thing happens next month. I am getting a lot less than I had been getting though!
