When phishing scams are reported to Outlook what happens to them?

I've also been believing that clicking the phishing button would help to, at least, cut down on the unwanted emails I encounter on a daily basis. Reading through the 3 pages in this thread, I get the distinct impression that Andree Pin, DeniseT, Rose Katrina, Wayne C and Mohammed Ali Ali are the names given to computers ( or maybe the same computer at different times ) located somewhere in the state of Washington, USA.

I too am having this same issue, but these filthy spam emails are appearing in my Junk Folder.  As I have to check my Junk Folder very often for legitimate emails that I have received from people that I haven't yet added to my Contacts or Safe Senders List, I don't want to have to wade through 100's of these filthy spam emails there either.  In my opinion, it doesn't matter where these spammer and scammer emails come in to whether it is the Inbox or the Junk Folder I don't want to see them period!

I've tried everything I know to do. I've written rules, reported them as junk, phishing attacks, swept and blocked and all to no avail...nothing seems to work for me.  

I've have done a lot of reading on this issue since I didn't start having this issue with these filthy spam emails and scammers until I was upgraded from Outlook.com on the web to the new Outlook Mail on the web about two to three weeks ago.   I read many tech related websites to keep up with all the changes going on with Microsoft, like WinBeta, Thurrott.com, and Windows Central.  They are really great in providing information and how to's on a lot of things related to Microsoft, Google, Apple, and other major players in the tech world.    I say all this as I found an article today on WinBeta that may begin to address some of the problems that a lot of use users are having with this spam related issues.  I know that this migration to Outlook Mail is a complete revamp of the back end of Outlook moving it to the same system that Office 365 uses and according to the article it appears a lot of users like us have been caught it the middle of the transition of a change in spam filtering.  A lot of this is above my pay grade, so to speak, as I am not very tech savy, lol.  But I think the article is interesting as it applies to some of these issues with this disgusting filthy spam we are encountering.  See the links below:

What this means for users, I am not quite sure.  Currently the only thing I see that is deprecating is the use of my email by me. I guess we will just have to wait and see.  But I too, am getting tired of the wait as this filthy spam and scamming emails are just beyond ridiculous.  If something isn't done soon to alleviate this mess I am seriously considering closing my Microsoft account after 25 years.  I am at my wit's end with this filth showing up in my email account.

Or is the answer you don't block senders as requested because you make income from senders that should be blocked...?
