When phishing scams are reported to Outlook what happens to them?

I reported two phishing scams to Outlook by clicking on the drop down "report phishing scam" in the Outlook mail app. Where does the phish e-mail go and is it reported to the genuine company, in this case a bank? Also, why can't a suspicious e-mail be forwarded to a reporting agency without opening it and exposing my computer and possibly my contact list to the bad guys?

I understand that this is an old thread, but I just had to know: ARE YOU SERIOUS???

If your grammar is any indication of Microsoft's personnel and their "tight security" that supposedly prevents fraudulent emails from reaching us, then that would certainly explain a lot!

I'm bombarded daily with e-mails that are absolutely mortifying!  I have to make sure that my kids are nowhere around before I can even check my e-mail!  That really must be some kind of special "protection" and "shielding" you've got going on there!

Allow me to "clarify" something for you: "Microsoft's tight security" is hardly preventing fraudulent e-mails from reaching us.  Your "built-in detection system" or whatever is garbage.  Maybe try something else.

    Thanks

    Hi kilkarneyknight,

I understand that you would like to know what happens to an email once it was reported as Phishing. I know how important this must be on your end. Don't worry, let us help you with this.

Please be informed that once an email has been reported as Phishing, this email goes to your Junk Folder and the email address automatically goes to your Blocked Senders List.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi,  Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately Microsoft limits the number of email addresses you can Block.  Why is that?

So the problems continues under the supervision of Microsoft.

There should not be no limit to the amount of junk mails you can block?  The is plenty of storage space for Microsoft to use.

    Dr. Alan

' . All I want is the name of somebody that I can pay to send a "loaded" junk mail back to them Enough of this and they will be out of business. Phishing or scamming I would just like to send them a dose of their own medicine.

I have tried many times to report unwanted embarrassing email without success. I am now desperate as the is affecting home life, I'm disabled with cancer and many serious health issues. the problem appears to originate from **** express in Canada who are using my email address, which stops me from blocking, they are also sending disgusting messages, via 50 different womans names per day, this is making it impossible to enjoy using my computer.

    Many thanks

    Bill
