When phishing scams are reported to Outlook what happens to them?

I reported two phishing scams to Outlook by clicking on the drop down "report phishing scam" in the Outlook mail app. Where does the phish e-mail go and is it reported to the genuine company, in this case a bank? Also, why can't a suspicious e-mail be forwarded to a reporting agency without opening it and exposing my computer and possibly my contact list to the bad guys?

    I'd love to see Microsoft implement a basic change - if the originating e-mail address doesn't match the address given in the "Sender" field, simply don't allow it to proceed. 

    Example: If the header shows that e-mail is coming from ******@spam.nsfw, but ******@notspam.nsfw is listed in the "Sender" field, auto-reject it.

    And - if the header shows that an e-mail is being sent to ******@hotmail.com by f ******@spam.nsfw with ******@hotmail.com listed in the "Sender" field (ie: the e-mail is supposedly being sent by the same person it's being sent to, but isn't), don't allow it to proceed.

    Seems so simple...

    Bull!!!! No one does anything about this kind of email, especially when email comes from my own email address. We have been sold out and get nothing but filth in these emails.
