Hotmail Virus sending me spam from my own email

I seem to have a Virus in my email that is sending me spam emails from my own email address.

I use a chrome book so it doesn't have anti virus to sweep with.

I can't block the emails as they are from myself and hotmail says i am in my own contacts. I have changed my email password and there are no forwarding addresses but it is still happening.

What should I do?

Changing your password won't help. It has nothing to do with your account. Someone elsewhere in the world bought a list of addresses. One of the addresses on the list was yours. They then created their junk and made your address the sending address, but they aren't using your account. They're using their own Internet connection and spam machine to send out the messages.

Changing your password is pointless. It's not your computer or your account doing the sending.
