I seem to have a Virus in my email that is sending me spam emails from my own email address.
I use a chrome book so it doesn't have anti virus to sweep with.
I can't block the emails as they are from myself and hotmail says i am in my own contacts. I have changed my email password and there are no forwarding addresses but it is still happening.
What should I do?

Hi - the same activity has been happening in my Hotmail account for about a week now. I immediately changed my password when I received an email from 'myself' but have still be receiving them.
Is there anything I can do?

Most likely this is a case of a spoofed address and there's nothing you can do about that. Make sure your own address is not in either People or Safe Senders and set the junk filter to Exclusive.
Cool thank you. If I am deported from Britain should they abandon Human Rights Act, thus forcing me to become a Father's Rights terrorist, I will know how to disguise the location and know how to perpetrate the same crime. However at present its a big "should" as in actuality I have a deep love for the UK as I see it as my Motherland. The idiots (sorry) just don't know that, well at least I hope they don't. My Child however and my relationship with her will always come first. Still nice to know. Most importantly thank you for your help and the prompt repsonse. I love MS, pity you stopped supporting for XP as I kind of prefer it in terms of the kernel programming, then again its definately time for an upgrade. I have always preferred it over Apple, its the working person's technology and not elitist. You just proved that.

Im having the same problem. How do I get rid ? Ive changed my password etc etc, and they have not come from my sent messages. its driving me up the wall. please please help.
Obviously, I didn't "prove" anything about Microsoft, since I don't work for them. All I did was state a fact. I really don't see the connection to "father's rights" or any of the other things you mentioned.
