Hotmail Virus sending me spam from my own email

I seem to have a Virus in my email that is sending me spam emails from my own email address.

I use a chrome book so it doesn't have anti virus to sweep with.

I can't block the emails as they are from myself and hotmail says i am in my own contacts.  I have changed my email password and there are no forwarding addresses but it is still happening.

What should I do?

    Well, now my wife's hotmail account has a problem which is apparently something that is worth worry about. Her Facebook page vanished and she was on the  phone with someone about it.They claimed they were from Facebook and directed her to enter some commands on my son's P.C. and I only caught a glimpse of what was on the screen but I saw something called msnbot or something similar to that but it was definitely a bot and I believe it was an email bot for Microsoft.

    I know that my wife almost never sends any emails but when she opened her email account there was over 30,000 emails. I have been having problems around here since we got a computer from a friend and I bought one and both were updated with Windows 10.

    I believe that you have a record of one of your Techs helping me last year and taking over one computer for an hour or two.... I have never had a normal experience online from that day to now.

    There's nothing you can do about spoofing. It's not a problem on your computer or your server. Someone who could be half a world away somehow got a list containing your address and is now using your address on his spam machine as the sender address.

    I too am a victim of email spoofing, it my address but there is nothing in my sent folder.

    Can somebody help?

    No they do not go into the Junk file. They are filtered into my Trash file because they contain key words like "Viagra"

    Do those messages arrive in your Inbox or your Junk folder? If the latter, that's where junk is supposed to go. It's a sign that the junk filter is working as designed.
