I seem to have a Virus in my email that is sending me spam emails from my own email address.
I use a chrome book so it doesn't have anti virus to sweep with.
I can't block the emails as they are from myself and hotmail says i am in my own contacts. I have changed my email password and there are no forwarding addresses but it is still happening.
What should I do?

It's very easy to do. The sender and recipient addresses you see in a message are just strings of characters that really have no bearing on where the message originates and where it will arrive. That information is contained in the SMTP handshake between the message transports and you never get to see that exchange.
This just happened to me too. The IP address is registered in argentina??? Can you help. I don't want to delete it or mark it as phising scam. Want to know how they can do this.
Do these messages arrive in your Inbox or in your Junk folder? Do you have your own address listed in your People?
Thank you for the response. How do I go about blocking these emails? I cannot block the email address as I normally do with spam as it would mean that I would be unable to send emails to myself
It's common to see spam that appears to come from your own address. That's no indication whatsoever that your PC or your Outlook.com account have been compromised. Only if you see the messages in your Sent folder is it proof your account was compromised.
