Hotmail Virus sending me spam from my own email

The possible reason of this issue is that you are a victim of email spoofing.

Email spoofing is the creation of email messages with a forged sender address - something which is simple to do because the core protocols do no authentication. Spam and phishing emails typically use such spoofing to mislead the recipient about the origin of the message.

We need to investigate the possible reason if you are victim of email spoofing we need some information from your sent message. Due to sensitivity of information we created a private message.

The same thing is happening to me, even after password change.  They are not hijacking the email account because you can look at your 'sent' and see that it wasn't sent from our own email.  There has to be another way they are able to send us an email incognito posing under our own email address?

I understand that someone is trying to use your account and using it in sending emails.

Possible that your account has been hijacked, we recommend you to safeguard your account to prevent this from re-occurring as your account may have been accessed by someone somewhere to send unwanted emails from unknown or known contacts.

Kindly change again your account password and reconfigure your password reset information.

You may also check your account information as there may be an alternate email address that you do not recognize. The other alternate email address will receive email notification every time you change your password and the hacker may change it again.  If you do not recognize the alternate email address, you can remove it.
