i want to remove the ad sidebar in windows outlook email

I have an ad blocker and although it removes the ads the bar is still there taking up nearly half of the mail viewing area. I would like to see the size of the ad bar at least decreased or perhaps putting the slider at the bottom like there used to be so you are able to move your mail back and forth to read it? The last is inconvenient, but one option that allows us to view the entirety of our open mail and you your ad bar.

Three or four years ago when there was only $1.00 charged for this service I found that even reasonable, but $20.00 is not and in the long run I would guess that it will cause you to loose customers. The idea that Microsoft needs to charge for this service at all is ridiculous and shows the lack of appreciation for those who have made Mr. Gates and this corporation so wealthy. Perhaps he needs more money so he might develop more of his deadly vaccines?

If you use either Chrome or Firefox as your browser, then do a search on "webmail ad blocker". That ad-on is free and there are versions for Chrome and Firefox. Download and install either or both versions. The ads in outlook will no longer be displayed.

I use IE as my web-browser, do you know how to get rid of the pop-up adds when I use outlook as I cannot open an E-mail until the ad is completely open.

I basically use Firefox as my browser and some one wrote to get a Firefox add-on that blocked ads to solve the problem and it worked.  I don't know if IE has any add-ons of this nature.

Also I sort of have given up on outlook.com as I find it most cumbersome to manipulate and adjust.  As an example I do a lot of email marketing and I find just a simple thing of formatting the emails for proper space between lines and paragraphs is impossible to do.  Who wants to send a marketing letter which has multiple spaces between each paragraph.  It does not look professional.  I have gone back to Outlook 2016 and find it much easier to manipulate for a decent presentation.

I do not use IE, so I am not aware of any add-on for IE that would block ads in outlook.

I do not recommend using IE, but if you must use it ... you could try using a custome HOSTS file ... which would block some of the sites that download the actual ads. The result would be a blank space where the ads would normally appear.
