Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
I agree 100% about their greed. I'm also hesitant to change e-mails.

Microsoft pretends that you can opt-out but you really can't 'opt-out' of their ads and that's all they are - something they want you to try and buy. Typical Microsoft - controlling. I don't like all of that clutter on my page and it hinders you from seeing the complete message (from; date; subject; etc.) unless you change the size of your page but that junk is still on your right side.
Hopefully if enough people complain they will do away with the 'ads' or at least let the customer control whether they see them.
I also do not like the side bar on outlook screen and most people I help have asked me to remove this feature. It should have an option to Opt in Opt out, Bad choice of features!
I hate to change email accounts I've had this one for about 15 years. I need to view some emails in full screen without the annoying ads I can't remove. Thanks microsoft for feeling the greed to make my life a little more difficult.
All the answers are in the last post I gave you, including using FireFox.
They are far more superior.
