    I want to remove the sidepanel on my Hotmail please help!

    What do you mean by "sidepanel"?

    The following reply assumes that you are using a browser to access your outlook.com account ...

    If you mean the ads on the right side of your inbox, then I suggest that you use a free Ad blocker (that works with the browser you use).

    If you use Firefox or Chrome, I recommend the free add-on called Webmail Ad Blocker. Note that there are separate versions for Chrome and for Firefox ... be sure to install the version that corresponds to the browser(s) you use.

    If you mean the reading/preview pane that allows you to see the contents of an email message in a pane that is next to your inbox, then you can disable the reading pane as follows:

    1. From your inbox, click the "gear" icon (upper right).
    2. Click "Display Settings"
    3. Select "Hide Reading Pane".
    4. Click OK (at top of window)

    Above assumes that your account is on the new outlook mail interface (when you look at the banner above your inbox, does it say either "Outlook Mail" or "Outlook Email"? if so, your account is on the new outlook interface).

    If you use either Chrome or Firefox as your browser, there is a free ad-on that will remove the ads and expand your inbox to use the space where the ads were.

    Do a search on "webmail ad blocker". That ad-on is free and there are versions for Chrome and Firefox. Download and install either or both versions (depending on which browser you are using). The ads in outlook will no longer be displayed.

    Nothing on this thread since March 2013; guess what, It's still annoying.  I'm switching to another application that won't force me to view advertisements.
