    I don't want the ad sidebar in outlook either. It is blocking my preview pane, making me scroll left and right to read each line.

    Want to remove new version of OUTLOOK, it is just terrible.  Can we revert to old version?

    Otherwise, try looking up add-ons for whatever browser you generally use.

    There is an easy way to remove the side bar.  Here are the steps:

    1. While in Hotmail or Outlook, click on the wheel at the top right near your name.
    2. Select "Options"
    3. Click on "Active view settings".  This is under "Reading email" near the bottom of the page.
    4. Select "Hide previews" under "Do you want to see previews?" and click "Save"
