I apologize for the late reply. According to our latest update, this error message, "We can't connect to Outlook at the moment. Please try again later", has been resolved. Please try to sign in your account and let us know if issue persists.

This ridiculous statement is all the evidence that's needed to confirm - as if we were in doubt - that Outlook is being managed by simpletons.

I had this problem for a while and finally got a thread started on may 11, they have closed this saying it was resolved, my ****!! it is still a load of old gubbins , I do not get the message now, it take eons to load the page, it then still doesn't delete mails it jumps to full page when I delete a previous mail, it can take a couple of mins before it allows me to view mails when it has loaded and it looks like something you would get on a V tech toy for children the only difference being the toys work as described. With outlook, windows 8, Skype and all the other improvements made by MS they lead the world in losing customers not to others being better but to them getting worse!!!

It simply gets worse. Now it sometimes takes several minutes for Outlook to load. Then several minutes dormant whilst attempting to open a mail from the inbox.

As someone who used to manage custom software (pre-press; newspaper industry) I would have been fired long ago if an application that was my responsibility was this unserviceable for this length of time.

Almost incredible (almost...) for a company of the scale and reputation of Microsoft. Hang on, what did I just say?

As whta previously mentioned by my co-moderators, this issue has been fixed. If I may ask, have you tried their suggestion to optimize and update the browser that you are using? If you already done this and the issue persist, I would suggest that you check for the anti virus installed on your PC or any security software that you have. Try to disable it if you have any of these as there are instances where these softwares or programs prevent Outlook.com to excute properly.

Kindly see if the same issue persist after doing so. Let us know for any results.

I am using Win 7/64, patched up to date with an AMD 6-core processor on 8gb of ram. The browser is Chrome.  It is automatically updated. As for anti-virus as a cause, I am using Avast which is widely used, well regarded, and has proved reliable, trouble-free and not conflicting with anything else. Are you seriously suggesting that I disable (or change) the AV software... ? I am using Zone Alarm free firewall; OS firewall is set to off. Clearing the browser cache makes no difference.

This is an INTERMITTENT problem. As such I think it's extremely unlikely to be local. In any case, given that previously Hotmail was unfailingly reliable, the likely conclusion is that the problem is with Outlook's code and not a localised configuration problem. There seem to be a number of users reporting identical problems. In addition I personally know of two other users experiencing identical faults.

I have not yet experimented with IE as a browser as I don't want to have to use TWO browsers as a workaround. Is it beyond Microsoft's capabilities to set up some test systems to reproduce this fault? Beggars belief.

The problem isn't just login and loading. It's everything that requires access to your servers. Opening different folders, sending mail, uploading files.
