We can't connect to Outlook at the moment, please try later.

I had this problem for a while and finally got a thread started on may 11, they have closed this saying it was resolved, my ****!! it is still a load of old gubbins , I do not get the message now, it take eons to load the page, it then still doesn't delete mails it jumps to full page when I delete a previous mail, it can take a couple of mins before it allows me to view mails when it has loaded and it looks like something you would get on a V tech toy for children the only difference being the toys work as described. With outlook, windows 8, Skype and all the other improvements made by MS they lead the world in losing customers not to others being better but to them getting worse!!!

I apologize for the late reply. According to our latest update, this error message, "We can't connect to Outlook at the moment. Please try again later", has been resolved. Please try to sign in your account and let us know if issue persists.

This ridiculous statement is all the evidence that's needed to confirm - as if we were in doubt - that Outlook is being managed by simpletons.

Well, by this stage it can be said, with confidence, that Outlook (nee Hotmail) has become all but useless for anyone who needs a RELIABLE email provider. This after at least 15 years of using and recommending Hotmail.

I spoke to someone recently who has been refusing the offers to "upgrade" Hotmail (what a joke)  to Outlook. He's experienced no problems whatsoever: Hotmail continues to function reliably.

It's a PIA but I'm in the process of migrating my email service. "Skydrive" will have to go too.

We're sorry for that inconvenience that this issue has brought to you. About your question, "When I used my 'Hotmail account' I didn't have to 'check this browser and click on this link' etc etc - it JUST WORKED - why doesn't it work now?", please be informed that there are some browser version that is unsupported when using Outlook.com, and that's one possible reason why you haven't encountered the same issue when using Hotmail interface before.

If you are using a lower version of internet browser, I suggest you to update your browser’s version.

Please verify if this issue is happening when using other computer or browser for us to isolate the issue if it's within your account only or not.

Also, kindly verify if you're experiencing this issue upon signing in to your account or after signing in to your account.

When I used my 'Hotmail account' I didn't have to 'check this browser and click on this link' etc etc - it JUST WORKED - why doesn't it work now, you need to sort it out - I'm not an I.T. wiz but I can use a computer and getting my messages is just a joke since it has changed!!!!!!!!!!!
