When I sign into my account I cannot see my inbox.

I get the Microsoft account page containing the Overview, Notifications etc, but cannot see any way to access my emails.

Hey there i got a similar problem with entering my code i have done it twice already entering it into an account i just made to get into my original account, since i figured i wouldn't have to go through the security and red tap with the new one. However even with the code i can't access the new accounts inbox, long story short i was wrong an have been unable to check my main account cause i can't access the inbox of my alternative account. i've tried a different browser and the optimizing performance as well, though i'm hearing alot of my friends complaints about similar issues. Making me think did you guys screw up somewhere, things really shouldn't be this hard i've had this account for ten years an this is the worst time i've had yet...

    Hi troybrandon,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I’m happy to assist you with your concern about not being able to access the inbox of your email account.

I understand how annoying this can be for you. Upon entering the code, did the system prompted an error message? If yes, please provide us the complete error message. We need to determine and isolate the source of the issue first before we can provide you an accurate solution.

We're looking forward to your response.

    Thank you.

Same problem here.... Having had the same email account for over 15 years I think its time to move on and find a provider that doesnt make it virtually impossible to accesss your account.

Thanks Microsoft... another example of a great idea ruined.

    Yes, same problem too.

To cut the story short, despite having gone through their verification process, I'm now in a position whereby whenever I log in, I'm taken straight to Account Details with no way to get to my InBox.

Thanks Microsoft.  I guess this latest security initiative is supposed to represent an improvement in service?  What a joke!

It's good to see that people posting about this issue have maintained their patience with Microsoft's clear disregard their users and the frustration with what is a ridiculous process that has been put in place.

I still cant access my inbox after several 'resets', I dont want to see my account info, nor have I ever. I would really like to see my emails though.  I am sure that like many I am at the point of abandoning Hotmail altogether due to the clear lack of concern shown by its "support" team... and lets be honest reading through the above posts there is no suport, saying you appreciate our concerns and then doing nothing to fix the problem is greatly annoying.

Somebody... please... outline in simple steps... how I get to see my emails!!! I know my login, I know my password, I just want access to my own emails
