Hi there,
Why does Outlook automatically log me into my Email without me having to type my email address or password? When I turn my computer on, I go to my Desktop and click on the Outlook icon to open up my email. It is logging me into that email without me even having to enter my password information, and quite frankly, I find this very unsettling. This means that anyone who uses my computer once it is turned on, can access my email without my permission. How can I correct this so Outlook asks me to enter my email address and password each time I want to log into my email? Thanks.

If one user is logged on, and someone wants to access their Outlook.com and uses IE, that person can't even get to a sign on page!
Of course they can. All they have to do is to open a new "In Private" browser window.
OK, that does help. I didn't think of that.
Is there a way to solve the real problem though? Is there a setting that would not automatically log the user into the outlook account when they go to outlook.com (without InPrivate). So far the best solution is to only have a local account. But then every time you want to add an app you need to provide the account info.

I believe that the Windows paradigm is that each person using a PC will have his or her own login for that PC; that multiple people won't masquerade as a single user. Microsoft believes most people want a single experience across their computer and the (Microsoft) cloud, so your Windows credentials are now tied to your Microsoft cloud credentials. Microsoft believes that once people sign into their computers, they want to be able to seamlessly access their PC assets and their cloud assets without needing separate logins. For the most part, I think this is a good approach, but it makes using the local and cloud assets more difficult for people who do not wish to follow that paradigm.
If you wish to share a PC as a single user but access cloud services as multiple users, make your username a local user and then make sure you never select the "Keep me logged in" options on web sites and always remember to log out of web sites when you are finished with the sessions. Granted, it requires some discipline, but it should work satisfactorally.
How do you change that?In windows 7,,you click on outlook.com,type in your username and password and thats it,,everyone has their own e-mail,same thing,the difference is windows 8,you have to go through all this garbage,it can be changed,microsoft says they can change it but it will cost you money to do so,do you believe that,paying for privacy..
