Why Does Outlook automatically log me in without my email address and password?

I don't want my pass code be typed up automatically. For Privacy protection I want to type my pass code each time I us outlook. Don't know how to take this out. please help.

You have that option already. Simply log out of your Microsoft account when you're done visiting Outlook.com and you'll always be prompted for credentials the next time you visit the web site. Make sure you do not check the box to remember your credentials.

I have multiple Microsoft accounts. I use Firefox for most everything, but IE for work. Having to create a separate user on my computer just so I wasn't automatically signed into the wrong account when I open a program to begin my work would have been annoying and pointless. With this work-around, that's no longer a problem. (I still have to click "Sign in with a different account." but beggars can't be choosers.)

Hey Microsoft, why not make a button in Internet Options that keeps IE from automatically signing us in? Obviously, not everyone wants this, which is why we call it an OPTION.

Well, I have solved the problem because I had the problem and now I do not.

I'm not a computer expert, but I have grown up with computers and I have gotten use to just figuring things out for myself because of all the know-it-alls out there that try and help with problems that they do not have experience with.

The reason why this problem may happen on any system is because it's specifically an outlook.com technical quirk that has to do with the laziness of people not wanting to protect and type in their e-mail and password all the time. So that would mean windows 7, 8, and 10 along with my intuition is saying any windows at all.

Now this is a lot simpler than needing all 5 of these response pages. THE REASON WHY THIS IS HAPPENEING IS BECAUSE OUTLOOK HAS SAVED YOUR DEVICE, WHETHER BE A PHONE OR COMPUTER OR TABLET, AS A TRUSTED DEVICE. In order to fix this auto sign-in, which does not have anything to do with the web page remembering you as a check in the box under where you type your password, you need to go to outlook.com and find your ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT. Once there you will find a link to MORE SECURITY SETTINGS, found under the Safety and Security tab close to the top of the webpage. Now scroll all the way down to the bottom where it should say close account and right above that should be a link that will allow you to remove all trusted devices.

Now after you have removed all trusted devices, every time you go to change account settings it will ask for a security verification code that will be sent to an alternative e-mail address, or a text or call, every time you want to change settings. But in doing this it will no longer auto sign-in to your account that is set-up with your device. This applies automatically to any new devices with windows 8 or higher as it happened to me with a brand new laptop. However I have never had this problem before because I never allow my devices to become TRUSTED. So my desktop with windows 7 worked just fine with sign-ins since I never manually added trusted devices, but now any newly registered device needs an account and therefore takes it upon itself to mark it as trusted the first time you use it.

That would be about all I can think to say other than when you have removed all trusted devices to close all browsers and test it out, as well as a restart of device after to test a second time. Like I said i'm sure I understand this problem now and hope I'm clear enough to help anyone out.

I am having the same problem. Just one thought for what you might try. You say you are deleting your browsing history, but that won't do anything to solve this problem. You would need to delete your cookies.
