Why Does Outlook automatically log me in without my email address and password?

Just to clarify, please answer the following

• Are you also accessing your Outlook emails using the Outlook website (http://outlook.com)?
• If you're accessing your Outlook email using the Outlook website, what web browser are you using? (Examples of web browser: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.)

If you're using any of the web browsers, you will be to see the "Keep me signed in" check box when you are logging in to the website. After you enter your Microsoft account, it will ask you for a password. On that page you will see the "Keep me signed in" check box. Please refer to the screenshot below:

If you have the same concern as the original poster, you can resolve this by clearing your browser data or by resetting your browser's settings. If you're using Microsoft Edge, you can clear your browsing data by following the steps found on this link. If you're using Internet Explorer, it's best to reset your Internet Explorer's settings. To do this, follow the steps found in this article.

Hi Brian. I have searched my account settings for the checkbox that you described and I can not find it. Could you please be more specific as to where that check box is? maybe take a screenshot or 2? I would greatly appreciate it. I am using windows 10. Thank you.

Just so you know, this is only a fix for Internet Explorer. If the reason the person would like to be asked for their login information is to secure it from others, then this will not stop someone from accessing their email.  I could simple go into a different web browser and access the email inbox automatically. If the person would like the account to be totally secure on the device, they will need to remove the device as a trusted device from the Microsoft account by going through outlook's safety and security settings.

Go into the Advanced tab in Internet Options (found by clicking on the settings gear icon in IE), and unchecking the 'Enable Integrated Windows Authentication' option.

That should prevent it from using the Microsoft Account details to auto login once you've signed out.

Why does Outlook automatically log me into my Email without me having to type my email address or password?  When I turn my computer on, I go to my Desktop and click on the Outlook icon to open up my email.  It is logging me into that email without me even having to enter my password information, and quite frankly, I find this very unsettling. This means that anyone who uses my computer once it is turned on, can access my email without my permission.
