Outlook.com Font keeps changing

I am using Outlook.com on Windows 7 (SP1) and IE10 (with latest update.)

Language is set to English UK.

The font keeps changing when I send an email.

No matter what font and size I use this problem occurs.

I type an email and it looks fine and then I send it.

However, when I see it in the sent folder, the font on some lines or paragraphs has changed - normally to a smaller size.

If I paste anything from a Word Document, the problem is even worse.

I have sent myself emails from Outlook.com using another account and email client to receive them and the emails look terrible and very unprofessional.

I have tried every solution suggested on the internet clear IE temporary files etc. uninstall Silverlight - but to no avail.

I have used Google Chrome browser - same problem.

Until I can resolve this, I am using eM Client software to send and received my outlook.com emails.

Is anyone aware of this problem please and any potential solutions.

Thank you.

    Hi Grand808,

We apologize for the delayed response. Let me help you with your concern regarding your formatting in your emails. There is a possibility that you change the "Message font" settings for your outgoing message. If you want to change the font size of your outgoing message, please follow the steps below.

    1. Login to your account.
    2. Click the cog or gear icon.
    3. Click more mail settings.
    4. Under Writing email, click Message font and signature
    5. Under Message font, you can now choose which font you'd like to start off with when you write a new message.

If you have any question or clarification, don't hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!

Thank you but this does not address the problem. I have done all this but it makes no difference.

The selected and saved font just won't hold.

I have explained all this in my original question.

Even when it does and I manage to send the email - the font  often alters itself in the 'sent items' and on the computer of the recipient.

It gives the distinct impression of being some sort of a 'bug'.

I'm having the same EXACT problem. My hotmail account recently switched to Outlook

and when I type a message and send it, I notice that the font on one line will be small and the next line the font is big. This has to be fixed soon!!! I recently sent an email to my employer and it was very embarrassing to see her name in big type while other parts of the email the font was regular.

I have already done all of this but to no avail.

I thought I had explained all this from the start.

Outlook.com is a Microsoft product and as such should not be vulnerable to these

problems using up to date other Microsoft products.

It doesn't happen with other webmail - say Yahoo, G Mai,l GMX etc. only with Microsoft.com. It never happened with Hotmail either.

There is obviously something amiss with the new Microsoft.com product.

Various forums on the internet are full of such comments.

    Thank you
