When I attempt to login to Outlook, the following is displayed:

"Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."

I have been unable to login for several days now. I have tried to login on many different computers and browsers. Please advise.

Here are the standard excuses that Microsoft is giving for the latest hotmail/outlook outage ...

It's possible that your account's server is undergoing maintenance, that's why you're encountering sign in problems....

Maintenance on Microsoft Hotmail services should not last beyond 4 hours, but there have been some issues that have exceeded this time frame and the Microsoft Hotmail Team is actively working to resolve the long maintenance times....

I also suggest that you optimize your browser....

    Moderators:

The above is NOT AN ANSWER .... it is standard scripted text re-used over and over to explain EVERY OUTAGE. It is an insult to your customer's intelligence!!!!! Hot spares can easily be used to offload accounts so that customers are not impacted by maintenance. The use of hot spares is STANDARD PRACTICE .... so please do not insult us by saying that the EIGHT HOUR outage was caused by "maintenance".

The outage was more than EIGHT HOURS .... this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

Your customers deserve answers to these questions:1. What caused the outage?2. Why did it take so long to fix the problem?3. What steps are being taken by Microsoft to insure that this problem does not re-occur.
