The post from JMH3143 that you are referring to is 8 months old.
I also cannot find the "other options" either.
Perhaps connecting with HTTPS is now the only way to connect (i.e., connecting with HTTP no longer available) ... and thus that option is no longer needed. That's my guess ... cannot say for sure. I tried searching but could not find anything from Microsoft stating that HTTPS is now the only way one can connect.
