I want to switch back to the original live hotmail...I don`t like the new setup of outlook.com

I somehow just wanted to see the new outlook.com but ended up losing my old hotmail look and feel.  Not able to log in as it told me my account didnt exist. I am not pleased with the look of the new mail and dont find it handierso would like to revert to original....please tell me how to!

Hello Everyone,

I can understand that you all want to switch back to the Hotmail interface after it has been automatically upgraded to Outlook. However, just like what the previous moderators have said, the option to switch back to Hotmail is no longer available once your account has been automatically upgraded. All Hotmail users will eventually be upgraded to Outlook.com and users who were upgraded automatically were sent notification messages concerning the upcoming upgrade.

In addition to that, I would like to inform you that Microsoft is upgrading its systems in order to serve everyone better. The new Outlook.com UI is the upgrade for the email system and it has a similar user interface with Windows 8. This has been done by Microsoft in order to cope up with the neverending changes and upgrades in the cyberworld.

We also appreciate all of the feedback that has been provided in this thread. If you want to submit a feedback for things that needs to be improved in the new Outlook.com, kindly refer to Denise_T.'s post here for the link to our feedback page.

    I have tried System restore but it hasn't worked for me.  I have tried to be patient and try it but I still prefer  Hotmail.; Please switch me back to hotmail.

    I'd like to try and help you out. Please verify if you're account has been automatically upgraded to Outlook.com or you are the one who did it. Please be informed that if an account is automatically upgraded to Outlook.com, as mentioned by the previous moderator, the option to switch back to Hotmail may not be available. You may refer to the article below for reference about automatic upgrade.

    In this case, I suggest that you use the supported browser for Outlook.com for better browsing experience. Please refer to this link for more details.

    If you are the one who did the upgrade to Outlook.com, please follow the instructions on how to switchback to Hotmail provided by the last moderator as well. Once done, you need to log in to the account via https://mail.live.com.

    I asolutely hate this format and don't want to use it.  It is also hard for me to see this pale ugbly print and the visual is sterile and has no personality.  I want my old format back.  I had no idea this was coming and could have never opted to accept it.  How to get back to user friendly original HOTMAIL?

    Hi,

    Hotmail users will be upgraded to Outlook.com and plans were shared when Outlook.com preview was launched.  To ensure a smooth transition for all Hotmail customers, the upgrade will be gradual. This is the start of that upgrade process.

    Users who were upgraded automatically to Outlook.com were sent notification messages concerning the upcoming upgrade.

    You can check the option to switch back by following the steps below:

    1. Sign in to Outlook.com.
    2. Click the Options icon, then click ‘Switch back to Hotmail’

    If you didn’t see this option ‘Switch back to Hotmail’, switching back to Hotmail isn’t available for your account.
