I want to switch back to the original live hotmail...I don`t like the new setup of outlook.com

I somehow just wanted to see the new outlook.com but ended up losing my old hotmail look and feel.  Not able to log in as it told me my account didnt exist. I am not pleased with the look of the new mail and dont find it handierso would like to revert to original....please tell me how to!

Hello Everyone,

I can understand that you all want to switch back to the Hotmail interface after it has been automatically upgraded to Outlook. However, just like what the previous moderators have said, the option to switch back to Hotmail is no longer available once your account has been automatically upgraded. All Hotmail users will eventually be upgraded to Outlook.com and users who were upgraded automatically were sent notification messages concerning the upcoming upgrade.

In addition to that, I would like to inform you that Microsoft is upgrading its systems in order to serve everyone better. The new Outlook.com UI is the upgrade for the email system and it has a similar user interface with Windows 8. This has been done by Microsoft in order to cope up with the neverending changes and upgrades in the cyberworld.

We also appreciate all of the feedback that has been provided in this thread. If you want to submit a feedback for things that needs to be improved in the new Outlook.com, kindly refer to Denise_T.'s post here for the link to our feedback page.

    Hi,

     

    We would like to inform you that all Hotmail users will be upgraded to Outlook.com and plans were shared when Outlook.com preview was launched.  To ensure a smooth transition for all Hotmail customers, the upgrade will be gradual. This is the start of that upgrade process.

    Then tell the morons that created the horrid outlook to give us the OPTION TO CHANGE THE HORRID UNREADABLE, HARD TO SEE COLORS!

    The colors are nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to see and read, light blue on white is RIDICULOUS!   And to be forced into this color scheme and look is also ridiculous.

    IT WAS NOT BROKE, therefore HOTMAIL DID NOT NEED FIXING!

    Why the heck can't people leave things well enough alone that works for a lot of folks and MANY ARE COMPLAINING they HATE THIS OUTLOOK and the way it looks.

    GIVE US A CHOICE WHETHER TO GO WITH "outlook" {Which I and MANY OTHERS HERE LOATHE AND HATE!} or the HotMail we all PREFER!

    Hi HolidayDecorator,

    I truly apologize for the ordeals that you have encountered during the transition of the old Hotmail to the new Outlook.com layout.

    Kindly refer to the link below to opt out on the new Outlook.com. If you are still unable to revert back to the old layout, then you may also just use Outlook Express client for Windows XP, Windows Mail for Vista and the new Windows Live Mail for Windows 7/8.

    **Force opt out to Outlook.com**

    From the point in your post where you said "this new look and outlook needs to be PLACED IN THE TRASH, .....  I agree 100% with everything you said.  Didn't ask for it.  Don't want it.  Hotmail wasn't broken.  Want it back..

    You can check the option to switch back by following the steps below:

    · Sign in to Outlook.

    · Click the Gear icon, then click Switch back to Hotmail.

    You may also use this URL to force opt:

    http://mail.live.com/default.aspx?moptout=true

    Copy and paste the URL in your address bar.

    If above options are not working, switching back to Hotmail is no longer available for your account.
