I want to switch back to the original live hotmail...I don`t like the new setup of outlook.com

I somehow just wanted to see the new outlook.com but ended up losing my old hotmail look and feel.  Not able to log in as it told me my account didnt exist. I am not pleased with the look of the new mail and dont find it handierso would like to revert to original....please tell me how to!

Hello Everyone,

I can understand that you all want to switch back to the Hotmail interface after it has been automatically upgraded to Outlook. However, just like what the previous moderators have said, the option to switch back to Hotmail is no longer available once your account has been automatically upgraded. All Hotmail users will eventually be upgraded to Outlook.com and users who were upgraded automatically were sent notification messages concerning the upcoming upgrade.

In addition to that, I would like to inform you that Microsoft is upgrading its systems in order to serve everyone better. The new Outlook.com UI is the upgrade for the email system and it has a similar user interface with Windows 8. This has been done by Microsoft in order to cope up with the neverending changes and upgrades in the cyberworld.

We also appreciate all of the feedback that has been provided in this thread. If you want to submit a feedback for things that needs to be improved in the new Outlook.com, kindly refer to Denise_T.'s post here for the link to our feedback page.

    This is not a "fix" solution, just another angry user. I can't believe they would switch this over a holiday weekend without warning and then removing the go back to hotmail icon in the gear icon. I use Win XP and the new format does not display correctly on my computer and it makes reading email nigh on to impossible. I want my old Hotmail back. SHAME ON YOU for not providing a fix in your answers or a phone number to call. This is another reason Microsoft is poor at customer service relations.

    Hi kassiinapolitano,

     

    Since you don't want to use the Outlook user interface, please follow the steps below on how to switch back to Hotmail user interface:

     

    1. On your Outlook inbox, click the gear icon beside your Profile name.
    2. Click Switch back to Hotmail.
    3. A pop-up screen will ask you to Send Feedback or Skip feedback. You can choose any between the two before you can switch back automatically to Hotmail user interface.

    Not that option IS NOT available as of 9/6/2012, the idiots have removed it and now I can not even access my e-mail to read it.  I can log in fine, and the light blue text on white is utterly asanine as I have vision issues and need BLACK TEXT on WHITE, I can hardly see the text on this new format that I detest and I, too, want to REVERT BACK to my old HOTMAIL account settings on ALL my accounts.   I never changed any of them, tried it out once and reverted back within minutes of seeing this horrid, crappy new look called Outlook.   It is awful, it locks my browser and I can't even access ANY of my e-mail messages at all.   I WANT MY ACCOUNTS REVERTED BACK, but some doofus has decided to REMOVE the option that would allow one to go back, and now I'm being forced to use settings that DO NOT WORK FOR ME, CAN NOT READ OR SEE VERY WELL, CAN'T CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME and CAN NOT ACCESS ANY OF MY MESSAGES IN ANY OF MY ACCOUNTS by Clicking on the inbox or any subfolders in any of my accounts.    THIS IS COMPLETELY, TOTALLY and GROSSLY UNACCEPTABLE.     Someone needs to put the option back so we can GO BACK TO OUR ORIGINAL HOTMAIL ACCOUNT SETTINGS WE PREFER!   AS this new look and settings are A TOTAL WASTE OF MY and SEEMS MANY OTHERS TIME and ENERGY!

    They have REMOVED the "Switch back to Hotmail", I accessed or TRIED TO ACCESS my accounts this morning and got the new CRAPPY, POS OUTLOOK theme. I tried it and had USED the REVERT BACK to HOTMAIL, but now they HAVE REMOVED that option from the GEAR ICON and can no longer be reverted, I am thoroughly pissed off at this change over. I reverted back because I have vision issues and my old Hotmail account WAS READABLE, this new Light Blue on White I CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING WELL, and there is NO OPTION to change this sorry piece of craps theme.

    And the real rub is I CAN NOT EVEN ACCESS OR READ MY E-MAIL messages IN ANY OF MY ACCOUNTS, I'm logged in, but clicking on ANYTHING DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Does NOT open any messages, like the OLD HOTMAIL DID when I clicked my INBOX or ANY SUBFOLDERS, now it just sits there and usually CRASHES MY BROWSER!

    THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and this new look and outlook needs to be PLACED IN THE TRASH, that's all it's good for, well, excpet maybe to **** OFF LONG TIME HOTMAIL USERS that can no longer do anything, change anything or get to their accounts OR e-mail messages!

    And since I use these HOTMAIL accounts for many different things, this, again, IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE that it CAN NOT BE REVERTED BACK to the ORIGINAL HOTMAIL THEME.

    When you damned idiots at Microsoft GOING TO LEARN, IF IT ISN'T BROKE IT DOES NOT NEED FIXING and if you want to make changes DO NOT FORCE THOSE CHANGES ON EVERYONE!

    Some of us DO NOT WANT THESE CHANGES, actually seems MANY FOLKS HERE ARE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DISGUSTED with this CRAPPY NEW OUTLOOK LOOK and HATE IT IMMENSELY!

    And YOU CLAIM to LISTEN? BULLSH*T! If you're really listening, then CHANGE IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS and WHAT THE USERS WANT, NOT what YOU WANT IT TO BE because MS thinks it looks and works great. IT DOES NOT!
