I am receiving continuos emails from microsoft saying that lost connection to google account, everytime I reconnect after about 10 min microsoft lost connection again and I receive another email.

Is the problem some config in google account or changes in google services?

Is the problem some config in  microsoft account security?

Note: When reconnecting, the permission asked by google is only offline access.

    Hi Kamil,

Thank you for the information. Please be advised that we could not proceed to the next step if we haven't exhausted all possible troubleshooting including removing Gmail from your account and reconnecting it (through the web, not using mobile). We understand that you're uncomfortable doing that troubleshooting but we need as much information as we could gather including results from initial, troubleshooting steps to narrow down the cause of the problem.

Please try the suggested step and inform us of what you'll find.

    Thanks,

    Rhyan

    Hi BrianHaines,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Let us help you on your concern.

I'm sorry to hear you're also experiencing this issue. Please provide answers to the following to help us investigate your case:

    • Where did you reconfigure your Gmail account from your Outlook.com account? Did you do it on the web or were you using a mobile device?
    • Did you make sure that two-step verification is disabled on your Gmail account?
    • What are the exact steps on how you removed and re-added your Gmail account to your Outlook.com account?

We're looking forward to your reply.

    Thanks,

    Rhyan

As I am writing this, I just got another email - "Reconnect to Google".

    Anyway...

    1. I had my gmail account before I had a live.com account and only used it on my PC.
    2. I never setup the 2-step verification. It says "Disabled" to be sure.
    3. I removed it by visiting https://profile.live.com/home/services and clicking on "Manage your accounts"; "Edit"; "Remove this connection completely"
    4. I re-added Google again and instantly got an email "You've connected Google to your Microsoft account"
    5. A millisecond later, I got another email following called "Reconnect to Google".

... and that is every fine detail that happened.

Thanks for this update. What confuses me is why they would send you that in a private reply??? What is the point of a public forum where the help is only provided to a single individual? Even though it did not help (another issue) it makes no sense that this is sent as a private message. Did the private reply also include the secret recipe for Bush's Baked Beans?

    Hello Jesse Chunn,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forum support.

I understand your concern about us sending private messages to some customers. The Outlook.com Community is a good place to find answers to questions and get advice from other users and community members. However, some cases require account information from customers and we cannot post them publicly for security purposes.

If you are having the same issue, please provide the answers to questions of the previous moderator Rhyan_O. replied on August 20, 2014 for us to isolate the issue.

Your understanding is much appreciated. We are looking forward to your reply.

    Regards!
