I am receiving continuos emails from microsoft saying that lost connection to google account, everytime I reconnect after about 10 min microsoft lost connection again and I receive another email.

Is the problem some config in google account or changes in google services?

Is the problem some config in  microsoft account security?

Note: When reconnecting, the permission asked by google is only offline access.

    Hi DarkessFalls and _thalamus,

Thank you for posting back with the information we requested. Allow me to assist you today.

In order to assist you more efficiently, we’ll need a few more details regarding your issue.

    • Did you click on the Reconnect Now button showing on the email notification from Microsoft's Reconnect to Google? If not, kindly do so and check if this will resolve the issue.

If issue persists, please reply back to this thread so that we can further investigate the matter.

    Thanks!

Sent you an message with affected account in it. I just had the account disconnected again today. It is always with the offline aspect of google.

As far as this having something to do with Windows Phone, I have an android and still having this issue.

...we would need some information for us to investigate if the email is legitimate from Microsoft.

The email is most definitely legitimate from Microsoft.  I can reproduce it 100% by:

    • Going to http://login.live.com
    • Log in with your Microsoft account
    • Go to Related Accounts
    • Click Manage Other Accounts
    • Edit Google's connection
    • Hit "Save"

That gives me the email, and shows that "Your connection to Google isn't working" message.

now that you commented I have a Windows Phone too, "maybe" the mysterious "offline access" permission is related to google account link in my Windows Phone?

The account in my windows phone is the same that I posted in private session.

    Leilani,

I'm also having the issue so feel free to provide me a link for a private message. I'm willing to share whatever info I have.

However, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. The email is legitimate, not spam as others have suggested so I wouldn't spend too much time investigating that. When I got my second one (I've had three so far), I skipped the email links and logged directly into my MS account and saw Google was disconnected.

I've received this on 6/26, 6/28, and 6/30. I won't be surprised when it shows up again on 7/2. The only coincidental thing with my MS account or Google services was that my WP8 phone mysteriously died the morning of 6/26 and I got a new phone that evening. In my WP account settings, it initially wouldn't allow me to remove the old phone but I was finally able to just now.

Again, I can provide more info in a private message but I'll just toss that oddity out there in case by some bizarre chance others experiencing this also got new devices or had issues with old ones since this started.

    Thanks,

    Chris
