I also started experiencing this today. Got my first email with this issue today.
Reconnecting via the link in the email does not work.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I am receiving continuos emails from microsoft saying that lost connection to google account, everytime I reconnect after about 10 min microsoft lost connection again and I receive another email.
Is the problem some config in google account or changes in google services?
Is the problem some config in microsoft account security?
Note: When reconnecting, the permission asked by google is only offline access.

The email is most definitely legitimate from Microsoft. I can reproduce it 100% by:
- Going to http://login.live.com
- Log in with your Microsoft account
- Go to Related Accounts
- Click Manage Other Accounts
- Edit Google's connection
- Hit "Save"
That gives me the email, and shows that "Your connection to Google isn't working" message.
I came back and tried these steps again, and I no longer get the email.
I unmark as answer because didn't work with me...
I am think this issue is not related with outlook.com, I did every thing suggested here and nothing work, This is my main account and use in my Win8 desktop and WindowsPhone 8 maybe something related to this devices? or Google change the API and Microsoft didn't updated it yet.
In google account site has a new option in Security -> Account Permission
"Enable" or "Disable" less security apps access you google account.
maybe Microsoft is getting into this category (less security) and it is being blocked.
It was Enable for default, I'll mark disable and see the results
I thank the help, but is it really necessary? because I don't want to import my google e-mails to outlook.com, it is a really old account with a lot of e-mails. in this moment I only want "Chat with Google contacts".

Thank you for posting back!
Let me assist you on this matter and rest assured that I will endeavor to assist you as best as I can and hopefully we can get this issue fixed for you.
Since you've mentioned that removing the connection completely didn't resolve the issue, it is possible that the Chat with your Google contacts and Send email from your Gmail address using Outlook.comis not selected. Kindly follow the steps that I'll be providing below to help you in resolving this issue.
Once the Import process has been done, kindly go to https://accounts.live.com then click the Related accounts. After doing so, click the Manage other accounts button then click the Edit button for Google. Kindly make sure to select the box beside the Chat with your Google contactsand Send email from your Gmail address using Outlook.com option then click the Save button.
