I am receiving continuos emails from microsoft saying that lost connection to google account, everytime I reconnect after about 10 min microsoft lost connection again and I receive another email.

Is the problem some config in google account or changes in google services?

Is the problem some config in  microsoft account security?

Note: When reconnecting, the permission asked by google is only offline access.

I guess they don't know yet what the issue is and are just collecting the data from users to figure out what is going on. The data they're collecting contains personal information so they do that privately.

    Thanks.

Thousand of people are having this problem but why the solution is being delivered in private? What's so secret about it?

If you have a solution, put it public forum so that everyone is benefited. Why can't the solution be shared with everyone?

    Hi Everyone,

For users who are experiencing this issue, please try the following steps provided by moderator Eugene R, which I have quoted below.

    Eugene R. replied on July 25, 2014

Please be informed that Google has made a change to their security defaults and disable the use of Basic Authentication by Google accounts. This will break Gmail connections to Outlook.com. To know more, you can read the article below:

Outlook cannot connect to Gmail after July 15, 2014

We recommends enabling basic authentication for your Google account. In addition, we also suggest to use Google's Two-step verification featured combined with an App password for Outlook.com This will option will increase your overall account security. Please check the articles below:

    About 2-Step Verification

    Sign in using App Passwords

While you're at it, using Two-step verification for your Microsoft Account is a good idea too, to do this, please follow the steps on the article below:

    Two-step verification: FAQ

If the issue still persists, don't hesitate to inform us and we'll be happy to further assist you.

    Thank you.

You can also try the suggested steps by tecgoblin on which it resolve the issue by enabling all extra security in Google.

After following the directions of Eugene R, my problem seems to have been solved. Mind that I enabled all extra security in google as requested, but I did not find where to use the "app codes". When I disconnected and reconnected my MS Account to Google, the reconnexion happened automatically (google was happy with my browser's session on the authorised device and did not ask for any password).

    Now everything seems working.

If the issue still persists, please let us know and provide the options that you have enabled on your account.

    Thank you.
