How to merge 2 Microsoft accounts?

Hello,

I created a Outlook email account and I have a other outlook email address that used to be a Hotmail address. Before I knew that you can rename a Outlook account I created another account with the same name. Is it possible to merge the two accounts.

I was really hoping this would solve my issue, but it didn't work.

I have two MS accounts, one with "@gmail.com" address that I use and has all subscriptions etc. and the other with "@outlook.com". I wanted to put the outlook one as primary alias to my gmail account. Followed your instructions, but when I want to add outlook as an alias to my gmail account, message says address is already in use (if I try create new option, it says that it already exists). The funny thing is, I can add this alias to my other account (the one that it was removed from, so the one that is currently "owned" by temporary email). So currently it seems I have to wait one year to add this address to my primary account :/
