How to merge 2 Microsoft accounts?

Hello,

I created a Outlook email account and I have a other outlook email address that used to be a Hotmail address. Before I knew that you can rename a Outlook account I created another account with the same name. Is it possible to merge the two accounts.

    Storage cannot be removed from one account and assigned to another. The only way to retain this bonus storage you have is to add an alias to the original account and use that alias as the new address. You can make that alias the primary, if you wish.

    You may be able to move the new address to the old account, but what I am about to describe could be destructive to the new mailbox. Make backups or transfer the data in the newer account to the original one. If you're now willing to take a chance, this probably isn't for you.

    Create a new alias for the second account, make that new alias the primary, then remove the original address. In 30 days, that address should become available again and you can add it as an alias to the original account. I have seen reports from people who said this worked for them, but be forewarned it's not guaranteed. Also keep in mind that even if it does work, the address you're using as your main address (the address you're trying to transfer) won't be available for those 30 days and if the process doesn't work, won't be available for a year.

    I have had the same problem since Outlook.com was launched.  I had my original Microsoft Account set up with my yahoo.com email.  When I created my Outlook.com account, I created it new instead of creating an alias off my original MS Account.  Now I have two MS Accounts.  I have wanted to ditch Yahoo completely for years, but this has stopped me from doing so.  I do use my Outlook.com as my primary email these days, my original MS Account has bonus storage that I do not want to lose.  I will eventually go with a Office 365 subscription, so the bonus storage would be less of an issue.  At that point, I could just migrate over all my data and just use my "Outlook.com" MS Account, but then I would lose my Store purchases and history.  If they could just transfer my storage bonuses and Store history to my other account, then I could migrate the data and delete my old MS account.  I hope they make this available at some point.  The other option is to eliminate the 60 day wait to take the other email as an alias.  This is just annoying.  I did set up my wife's account correct after my lesson learned.
