someone DOES have the same hotmail email address as me, this is a security issue

hi, someone definitely has the same Hotmail email address as me. I have had this address for years. then a few months ago I started receiving information from ebay that was meant for this person. I contacted ebay and they asked this person to change her email which she must of done because I do not receive mail from ebay that's is not intended for me now.  yesterday I received a email from a energy company with this persons name and and energy account  number. I am worried she may be receiving my emails and this may be a security issue? what should I do please.?

    It seems like a lot of people are  having the same problem as me. I have done all you have said to do, even down to changing my password but so far nothing I have done, or what you have suggested has helped nor stopped as I still get in undated with emails that I have not signed up for nor do I use and from the comments I have read, yes Microsoft are not interested and will not do anything about this problem nor help in anyway what so ever. I have no idea if the other people who have been and are using the same email as me can actually see my emails that I have sent, received or if they have intercepted them in anyway.

    To me Microsoft SHOULD know if someone else has the same email address as me.

    How can something so simple to find out make it so hard and long winded to find out.

    I just wish I could contact Microsoft directly instead of going through all this....

    Microsoft, please look into this for me and sort it once and for all

    Microsoft does know.  There cannot be someone else with the same email as you.  Reasons why it may appear they do include they may ghave typed their email wrong, it could be a spammer "spoofing" (faking) the email in spam, or simply someone using your email address so you get spam.

    Seems to me  a bunch of  ROBOTS   giving useless  suggestions  here.  I have the same  problem.  I got the same useless  suggestions.  Finally  I have  given up. Makes me  wonder  how much  this guy's getting  paid for  nothing

    First perhaps the fault lies not in what we are saying but in how you are listening.  You are the one with the problem  Mine is working fine.

    BTW  See my sig, I do not work for MS and would not want to,  I help where ever I feel like it and atm it is not here.  Good luck

    Gee you so smart, but not that smart, I never said you work for Microsoft.

    So perhaps the fault lies not in what I am saying but in how you are listening??
