i cant sign in

Hi,

With the warning that a reset will delete AutoComplete data, such as passwords (do you have those backed up?) and you will have to reinstall or re-enable browser add-ons, use the Reset IE Settings button in Internet Options> Advanced.

What a reset of IE settings will do:

Windows Vista Help- Reset Internet Explorer settings:

Anyway I am too experiencing issues with the Hotmail account

I have managed to get in today for the first time since unaware that there had even been any changes to it with this merger upgrade thing.

I discovered to my surprise that there is only one message in the Inbox which is from Outlook themselves introducing it that won't take any replies.  It seems to have nothing else stored anywhere else at all-no history or previous messages when I had left them before.

    Hi,

    Sorry for slow response.

Is it possible that there hasn't been a login, via the web, for a year? The account may have been cleared out due to inactivity.

See the post by JMH3143 at http://answers.microsoft.com/message/7bea7ad1-983d-4057-a57c-e05f36e357d1?threadId=4e1e4534-3d1a-44f7-9efe-d15e171abe36

The only possible solutions that come to mind are to

    1. check the Deleted folder

    and

    1. select Deleted then look at the bottom of the page for

"Lost a message? When you recover deleted messages..."

I can't get into my hotmail account, I'm on a long term holiday in Malta & need to print off boarding passes which are in my hotmail.co.uk account. I'm using my usual laptop but not in my usual country.

I messed about for hours the day before yesterday but both my husband & I are unwell and we need to get home! I've not got all my files with me, so can't remember my microsoft account details & can't get access my alternative email either....my husband has a serious illness...

In an effort to resolve the problem, I set up a new email address but think by doing this it's deleted my old account.

I NEED MY ORIGINAL ACCOUNT RESTORING - it has very important information on it and will prevent me from accessing lots of things like online banking, our medical specialists in the UK & family. Also, I won't be able to manage or access my travel documents with airline as my hotmail account is our link!!!! PLEASE RESTORE IT......thank you, I hope.
