That's an unacceptable time frame to get help..

Many people use these free accounts (Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, AOL) for their small businesses where only one email address needed.. It's simple, they aren't interested in a domain or any of the business services, or complex configurations..   I acknowledge people shouldn't do this but they do and it's far more common than anyone thinks..  Pointing out that personal accounts aren't designed for businesses is moot and a waste of time.

When such a personal Microsoft Account gets locked out that customer can't operate their business. Period..  This experience completely destroys that customer's opinion of Microsoft as a dependable partner for their business, whether or not it's technically a personal or business account.  The damage is already done to Microsoft's reputation in that customer's eyes and is permanent.

A few days of not being able to send or receive email for a business will cause the customer to seek an alternate email address.. Who thinks Microsoft has any chance whatsoever at gaining that customer as a paying business services subscriber?   Microsoft loses these customers permanently and they drag their business relationships with them to Google.   Right now it's Google that's benefiting from Microsoft's negligence and complete lack of support.  All because some bean counting marketing jerk pushed a cost savings idea through to eliminate human support for consumer services..

Yes thank you I have done this and I have only received a 'how well did we do?' survey!

I still CANNOT access my email accounts.

Can you post a definitive link that everyone can use to get to their security questions, to answer them, to gain access to their accounts please? What could be simpler?

    Thanks

I have the same issues and it's very frustrating.

They seem to like getting people to run in circles, rather than resolving issues

Out of interest, have they blamed your location yet?
