I downloaded and configured the latest Outlook android app with the cool metro interface. however I noticed that when I send emails my name is not dispalyed as sender but rather I only see my email address

In otehr words the recipients would see

From: ******@hotmail.com

Instead of

From: My Name

This doesnt happen when I send emails from the web interface or the windows 8 app, only withy the Android app. As much as I have looked I cant find where it is you set the sender's name

Hi Everyone,

As some of you already know, there have been a recent update to the application which include "Recipients can see the sender name instead of just an email address in mail sent from the app".

For others who have not yet updated the Outlook.com app on your mobile devices, kindly do so.

If you want to leave any feedback for the Outlook.com application, you can by going through this link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.outlook.Z7

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks!

    Hello Allan

Not sure what's happened here as I provided all the confirmation days ago - did you receive the private and public messages I posted?

Are we nearing a solution? It'd be great to sort this out ASAP.

Hi guys, I have the same problem with the Outlook client in my Samsung Galaxy S4 (i9500).

Also experienced that when I configure the account as ActiveSync in the phone default email client.

All the tests were done in an email account created with my own domain in domains.live.com.

Hope you can bring us a solution son, if you need me to send the logs please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Jorge
