I downloaded and configured the latest Outlook android app with the cool metro interface. however I noticed that when I send emails my name is not dispalyed as sender but rather I only see my email address

In otehr words the recipients would see

From: ******@hotmail.com

Instead of

From: My Name

This doesnt happen when I send emails from the web interface or the windows 8 app, only withy the Android app. As much as I have looked I cant find where it is you set the sender's name

Hi Everyone,

As some of you already know, there have been a recent update to the application which include "Recipients can see the sender name instead of just an email address in mail sent from the app".

For others who have not yet updated the Outlook.com app on your mobile devices, kindly do so.

If you want to leave any feedback for the Outlook.com application, you can by going through this link:

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks!

I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 and have the same issue. I cant believe that you need so many logs to resolve this issue. Just setup a phone in your test group and try it for **** sakes. It also happens on my wife's Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3. No relation whatsoever between our accounts or phones and they both have our email addresses as the FROM value instead of our names. This is a major bug and needs immediate resolution. Please advise.
