android outlook.com set sender name

I downloaded and configured the latest Outlook android app with the cool metro interface. however I noticed that when I send emails my name is not dispalyed as sender but rather I only see my email address

In otehr words the recipients would see

From: ******@hotmail.com

Instead of

From: My Name

This doesnt happen when I send emails from the web interface or the windows 8 app, only withy the Android app. As much as I have looked I cant find where it is you set the sender's name

Hi Everyone,

As some of you already know, there have been a recent update to the application which include "Recipients can see the sender name instead of just an email address in mail sent from the app".

For others who have not yet updated the Outlook.com app on your mobile devices, kindly do so.

Hello all. Appears to be working now on my nexus, oh and on my Samsung galaxy s4.

    In my case the issue was not resolved

    Whenever I send an email from the app it appears from

    The email address

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled as advised here

    Why can't you add the Sender appears as feature in the settings as in the previous versions

    The appearance is better in the new outlook

    But I can't understand why it doesn't have that simple and basic option

    Hi Melanie,

    I have the same issue as well,

    My device is Samsung GT-N 7100 Note II

    OS:

    Android 4.1.2

    When I send an email the address shows up instead of Sender & no option to edit sender name
