Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
The lack of support from Microsoft is indeed sad...

I'm new to Outlook.com, but I've used Outlook 2010 for years without any problem to access my Yahoo Business Mail account (******@markoneill.com) which is part of my Yahoo web hosted site, markoneill.com. But the same settings for POP3 mail don't work in Outlook.com. Outlook.com can't access pop.bizmail.yahoo.com as my POP3 server. Is there a work-around for this problem? Thank you.

This is getting tedious. Despite everyone raising the same complaint it seems hardly anyone with either a plus or business yahoo account can get it working with Outlook.com despite Outlook as a stand alone program or even Windows 8 mail working with the accounts. Does anyone really know how to resolve this?

Hello.. i'm having the same issue.. mail forwarding is not used on my business account.. We have been using microsoft live mail for years now and I setup an outlook account and am trying to migrate all my info in.. everything works fine, but during the connection to pop.bizmail.com.. it tells me to check my ID and pw.. i've tried everything i can think of with no luck.. microsoft live mail still works fine checking it.. any ideas?
thanks,
Brian
Hi everyone,
Let me help you with your concern. If you've set up mail forwarding for your Business Email address, and then try to configure POP, you will see this error. Business Email customers cannot forward their business mail and use POP at the same time. To take advantage of POP, disable mail forwarding. Once you've disabled mail forwarding, you can begin using POP to check your Business Email. If the issue persists, don't hesitate to reply.
Thanks!
