Hello DhammagitaDhi,

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Allow me to assist you on how you can setup the Automatic vacation reply on your Microsoft account. Please be informed that all Hotmail users will be upgraded to Outlook.com and plans were shared when Outlook.com preview was launched. To ensure a smooth transition for all Hotmail customers, the upgrade will be gradual. This is the start of that upgrade process. Please refer to the steps below on how to do this.

  1. Sign in to Outlook.com.
  2. Click the gear icon on the upper right corner beside your name.
  3. Select More mail settings.
  4. Under Managing your account click Sending automated vacation replies.
  5. Enter the message you'd like to send while you're away.
  6. Click Save.

In addition, note that there's some features that might be turned off for newly created Microsoft accounts.

  • Sending automated vacation replies (auto reply option)
  • Email signature
  • POP aggregation (send Hotmail email with any email address)
  • Forwarding email
  • Reply-To address (receive replies to Hotmail email at a different email address)
  • Send-As address (send email in Hotmail from other email addresses)

Let us know the results after performing the above actions.

    Hi Andrew Adenegan and 理路バートレット,

We would like you to visit the link below for the possible reason why the feature is not available on your account. Why are some features turned off in Outlook.com?

We recommend that you perform SMS validation to unlock the missing features on your account. You can perform SMS validation through https://sms.live.com.

    Thank you.

    Johan

    Johan,

I read all of that BEFORE I bothered to post here. Why must I do the SMS validation to my phone again?

Here is what I see under Managing your account...

    There's no vacation response option...

Even after registering all my mobile details (phone # _and_ email) plus waiting for several days, I'm still unable to turn off my vacation reply!

All I want to do is delete and disable the auto-reply (vacation response)!!!!

     Please assist.

I've noticed when I log into outlook.com and view my mail, I see a notice at the bottom of my screen indicating that I have vacation reply turned on and it offers a button to turn off that feature. Everytime I click that button to "turn off," it simply returns!

    This is very annoying!

The primary reason I want to see this option in my OUTLOOK.com settings is to verify that no one has set the auto-reply to spam people!!!

All my contacts are complaining that my email is spamming them! Seems that someone may have gained access to my account before I changed the password. The spam is only sent after receipt of an email. At no other time does this spam send out.

Now, it seems I can't disable the bloody fvcking auto-reply cr4p!

    もうー! このサポートは結構遅いです!日本に住んでいますが英語のフォルムに入っています。日本のサポートがありませんか。
