I'm trying to signin to Outlook.com with my account and it's failing with a blank page but MSPPError=-2147205086 is at the end of the url.

I am not logged in to office365 or outlook on any other machine.

I can still access my account using Outlook 2013.

Any ideas please?

Hi Everyone,

This is Carlo of the Outlook.com Support Escalations Team.  I am a Senior Support Analyst for Microsoft and I am part of the Team investigating this issue/behavior.

I would like to set everyone's expectations that this issue is still being investigated by our Microsoft Engineers.  We have forwarded the screenshots and fiddler trace logs that have been provided by the earlier customers.  Please be assured that all of the information that you have submitted to us have been collated properly and such information will be used in order to determine the root cause of this issue.

I would advise everyone to check this thread from time to time for updates on this issue.  In the meantime, I would like everyone to try this possible workaround only if this is applicable to you and your account:

1.) Determine if the Office 365 subscription that you are using is the Preview version or not.

2.) Take note of the first time that this issue happened and if it coincides that you used the Office 365 preview.

3.) If you are using the preview version and if the time that this issue first happened coincides with each other, then kindly unsubscribe from the preview version.

4.) Try again and see if the issue persists.

In the meantime, we will be investigating this issue further on our end also so that we can compare the results of our investigation with our Microsoft Engineers.

I would also like to thank MJJennings for sharing this information with us.  We greatly appreciate it.

We would like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding regarding this issue.

Thank you.

Regards,

Carlo

I have the same issue and its extremely frustrating to not being able to log in to my account for over a month already.   I have tried from any computer and even my windows phone. All do not allow me to log in.

I can log into my O365 account that has the same user name. and I can still see my skydrive and my contacts and calendar, just not outlook.com

I was able to resolve my issue, and can access my hotmail email again!

When I originally registered my Windows Live ID, I used my (non-Microsoft) email address as the user name.  At some later date, I signed up for hotmail email using that Windows Live ID, which became my hotmail login.  While hotmail (and later outlook.com after I converted) did ask if I wanted to link that other email account to my hotmail account, I always ignored those offers (everything worked fine and I didn't log in to the other account much anyway).  Until one day I could no longer get to my hotmail mailbox.

The fix to my specific issue was:  I logged in to login.live.com.  I clicked on my name in the upper right corner and chose account settings.  I then renamed my primary account alias from my other (non-MS) email address to another hotmail address (a new address that is very similar to the hotmail email address I've been using).  After I applied the changes, mail works fine.

IMHO, it appears that the mail application is not gracefully handling issues when attempting to link to / login to other accounts (instead of just taking the user to their mailbox).
