How to delete one mis-spelled email address from auto-complete list

I previously mis-spelled an email address when sending a message .... and now, that mis-spelled address is displayed in the auto-complete list each time I begin to type the correct email address.

This is NOT an issue with my contact list ... I do not have a contact defined for this address.

I do have this option enabled:  Give suggestions for anyone I've communicated with (contacts and non-contacts) and I want to keep that option enabled. I realize that I could select this option: Only suggest people in my contact list, and the mis-spelled address would not appear in the auto-complete list .... but I want the auto-complete function to give suggestions from both contacts and non-contacts.

What I am looking for is the ability to delete one entry from the non-contact addresses that are maintained by the auto-complete feature. Can this be done in Outlook.com??

    Bathosphyr,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have also found other threads that are reporting this same problem.

Microsoft is ignoring the issue, and all the moderators here (who do not work directly for Microsoft, but work for the outsourcing company that Microsoft hired to run these forums) can do is provide scripted replies that say "the problem is under investigation".

I first reported this problem on Dec 17, 2012. The moderators here claim that Microsoft has been "investigating" this bug for five months!!!!!  I don't think so.

It appears that Microsoft is just ignoring this bug and hoping that those who complain about it just go away. Very unprofessional behavior on the part of Microsoft.

    Denise T,

Thank you for your response, but it was the SAME response that several other moderators have provided.

I know that Microsoft plans in advance for the fixes that will be included in each release of outlook.com (and all other products).

All I am asking is for someone to review the release documents for outlook.com and tell me if a fix for the bug I have described will (or will not) be included sometime during 2013.

This request does not require any investigation beyond checking the contents of the release documents.

So I will continue to ask the same question until I can get a simple YES or NO answer ....

IS THE BUG I HAVE REPORTED GOING TO BE FIXED SOMETIME IN 2013?????????????

    Hi langware,

I understand that you must be frustrated waiting for a resolution regarding removing an autocomplete suggestion. As what the previous moderators have mentioned, there is no turnround time in when this would be implented. As of the moment, our escalation team is still investigating for a resolution regarding this issue.

We appreciate your patience with this matter. Please wait for any updates.

    Thanks!

    Mary Grace A.

    Thank you for your reply.

Did you bother to read all of the other replies in this thread?????

If you have read the other replies, the you know that your reply is quite similar to previous replies by other Forum Moderators.

Therefore, since you basically said the same thing that other Forum Moderators have said .... I too will repeat myself.

Please note that these back and forth replies are really not helping to resolve the issue, but here's a suggestion that can make our respective replies shorter .... you (Microsoft engaged moderators) just reply with the word "cat" (which I will understand to mean you telling me that the issue is still under investigation) ... and I will respond with the word "dog" which you can understand to mean the following (we won't get any closer to a resolution, but it will be far less typing) .... so, without further ado .... "dog" means this:

I started this thread on December 17, 2012 .... that is 4.5 MONTHS AGO.

Since that time, at least two Forum Moderators have stated that they were able to reproduce the problem.

    You state:

"Please be informed that the issue is still under investigation. There is no turnaround time on the investigation."

First, please tell me what still needs to be investigated??????? Your own Forum Moderators have reproduced the problem.

Second, the reason there is no turn around time on the investigation is because there is nothing more to investigate.

I have been patient for 4.5 MONTHS. I would like a response from a MICROSOFT EMPLOYEE. I would like to know if the bug I have described (and that your own Forum Mods have reproduced) is or is not scheduled to be fixed in 2013.

Please, no more excuses, no more "investigations", no more scripted replies .... just answer this question:

IS THE BUG I HAVE REPORTED GOING TO BE FIXED SOMETIME IN 2013?????????????
