How to delete one mis-spelled email address from auto-complete list

I previously mis-spelled an email address when sending a message .... and now, that mis-spelled address is displayed in the auto-complete list each time I begin to type the correct email address.

This is NOT an issue with my contact list ... I do not have a contact defined for this address.

I do have this option enabled:  Give suggestions for anyone I've communicated with (contacts and non-contacts) and I want to keep that option enabled. I realize that I could select this option: Only suggest people in my contact list, and the mis-spelled address would not appear in the auto-complete list .... but I want the auto-complete function to give suggestions from both contacts and non-contacts.

What I am looking for is the ability to delete one entry from the non-contact addresses that are maintained by the auto-complete feature. Can this be done in Outlook.com??

Other people are reporting this same problem ....

    PLEASE NOTE:

This issue is NOT about managing/cleaning-up auto-suggestions of addresses that are in ones contacts.

This issue involves the inability to manage/clean-up auto-suggestions that are NOT from ones contacts. For those auto-suggested addresses that are NOT from ones contacts, there is no way to change or delete an address (i.e., an address that is no longer valid, an address with a typo in it, etc).

Since this bug involves addresses that are NOT from ones contact list, telling customers to enable the option to Only suggest people in my contact list is not a valid solution.

This is clearly a bug or a design flaw. Others have also reported this problem.

YOU NEED TO ESCALATE THIS TO MICROSOFT.

I am still waiting for a Moderator to use these steps to reproduce the problem I have described ...

    1. Open page to compose a new message.
    2. Start typing the first one or two letters of an address into the TO field.
    3. Observe the list of suggested auto-completion addresses.
    4. Do each of those suggested auto-completion addresses have an X on the right? If not, then you have reproduced the problem ... there is no way to delete an address in the auto-completion list.

This is a simple request .... what could possibly prevent a Moderator from taking a few minutes of their time to follow the above steps and let me know if they have reproduced the problem????

If what you say is true .... then please prove it by following these steps and reproducing the problem I have described ...

    Hi langware,

I'm sorry, but that kind of feature is not currently available in Outlook. However, we forwarded your suggestion to the product group, who appreciates feedback and considers suggestions for a future releases.

    Thank you.
